Christmas just ain’t Christmas, without the one you love; or at least avisit to the 7^th Annual Pearl Christmas Market. Whether your sleighis a Didi, metro, or led by reindeer, your winter wonderland is close by.

The Pearlis perfect for this occasion as it has many looks to it. Some days it’s acabaret, other times it’s a restaurant/bar, then there are those awesome rockconcerts. However, this time of the year is dedicated to Christmas. The bestholiday of them all! Nestled in historic Zhapu Road in Shanghai’s Hongkoudistrict, it is just minutes from the glamor of the Bund. Upon discovery, is aworld that is timeless and elegant, housed in a landmark heritage buildingdating back to 1931. 

Onceinside, The Pearl is not just a theatre, but a big room of warm memories. Theplace is transformed into a comfy winter wonderland. It feels as familiar assitting in front of a roaring fire with a hot cup of cocoa watching Bing Crosbyand David Bowie sing “Little Drummer Boy”.

The Pearl’s Christmas Market is our annual family friendly event! Wewill have face painters, games, gifts along with Santa. Kids can indulge intheir favourite excesses while feeling right at home in the snowy surroundings.

Adults can start their experience with a cup mulled wine to strollaround the concessions. Once there, over 40 vendors will proudly be displayingtheir unique wares, handmade products, special food stalls including our thirdfloor food court area where you can sit relax and have some tasty morsels.There are all sorts of knick knacks to peruse. Gift ideas galore that can fillthose stockings and make those loving companions even more loving. There issomething for everyone at the Christmas market!

Another highlight of the festive day is relaxing with some drinks overcuisine specially prepared for the holiday by our Chef Baidas. Bites like savory foie gras and warmtoasty waffles are just a small sample of what we have in store for you.

Itwouldn’t be a true stop at the Pearl without music. Naturally, we have the RedStars playing live with some special guests to perform throughout the day.Seasonal music, mixed in with some rock/pop hits, will permeate the theatre.
